Testimony of God’s provision: Steph Fouché
I just want to share about how God has provided for me throughout my studies:
1.) I am almost finished my fourth year studying Music at NMMU and I have never had to pay a single cent for the lifts that I have gotten in all my four years at varsity!!
I live in Kabega, which is near Westering and Sherwood, which if you know PE at all you’ll know is VERY far from Summerstrand where the university is. I didn’t have my license when I started studying and so I had to bum lifts off friends and stuff, but eventually I didn’t have anyone to get lifts with. We prayed that God would give us a reliable person that had similar times to my schedule so that it wouldn’t inconvenience them and that I wouldn’t have to miss lectures. We heard, through a contact in Woodridge, of one of the mothers who worked at the student accounts at the university. We phoned her and she said she would be happy to give me lifts. She also lives only 3 blocks down from me so I literally only have to walk for 7 min to get to her house. She goes in to varsity at 7:30 and leaves at 16:00 every day, and this was our answer to prayer because she had set times that totally suited me! Since about the 3rd week I started university till now, I still get lifts with her, I have never had to pay her once for those lifts. We have offered and offered to pay her time and time again and she always refuses. So we have often bought her gifts and made her suppers and stuff, but we’ve never had to pay a dime!! How great is out God!!
2.) The second way God has miraculously provided for me is my job. I went to Woodridge College and after I left school they offered me a job as a contract Music teacher. I started in May 2007 and am still working there till the end of the year when I finish my degree. This job has paid for my studies and my living expenses. While I still live at home, my parents haven’t had to pay for anything for me other than my food that I eat at home. This is such a miracle and one I’m truly thankful for!! When I am finished at the end of the year, I won’t have a student loan to have to start paying off and I have also acquired four years of experience in the field that I am going to be working in.
I am a living testimony of God’s goodness and His amazing provision in my life throughout my life and now again in my studies. ALL GLORY GOES TO GOD!!!!!!!!!!!
