A Healthy Church is a Worshipping Church...
So, I studied music with in the intention on teaching after my degree but half way through, we were told that we needed a PGCE to be able to teach in schools. (You must understand we were already doing education subjects for our degree so it was not the best news.) So currently I am teaching part time at Woodridge, but I’ve been praying for a full-time job for next year at a school in PE.
Because I don’t have a PGCE, I am not able to register with SACE (South African Council for Educators). Basically to get any government or even governing body teaching post, you need to be registered with SACE and have a number. So, I’ve been applying for jobs with the knowledge that God would have to a huge miracle to get me a job. I could apply for a temporary number but I heard from someone that SACE is so disorganised and terrible with communication and heard from numerous people how it took 3or longer years to get their SACE number and even longer for a temporary one.
So, the miracle comes…yesterday I’m just standing in the kitchen and my mom comes in all excitedly saying there’s a letter from SACE for me. We opened it and I’ve received a letter of provisional registration from them on the provision that I teach music and give a letter of employment! The crazy thing is that I hadn’t even applied yet, it’s absolutely impossible that I would receive that letter without applying…but for GOD!!!! Not only did it not take years to receive but it was sent in August, it was just sitting under my mom’s pile of paperwork. I am applying for a job at Collegiate Junior and Grey High School and the closing date is Friday and he miraculously led my mom to sort out some of her paperwork yesterday where she found the letter!
God is SO amazing! I am absolutely blown away that he got me that SACE number and I just know now without a shadow of a doubt that the job I get for next year will further be testimony to his incredible goodness! Was so encouraged this morning when I was thanking God, I felt Him say: “It is my good pleasure to provide for my children!”
So if you are in a place of trusting Him for provision, hold onto that word!
