God has always been the centre of everything in the Bible, BUT He has always used people. Also, He has always really liked obedience rather then lip-service and has used those who have positioned their lives to be used by Him among His chosen people and in the nations of the world. These people have come in many different packages, from a nomad to an adopted son of Pharoah, from a shepherd boy through to a few fishermen and tax collectors, from highly educated to the simple and uneducated men and women - God has used people to fulfil His purposes on the planet.

It doesn’t matter how tangible His Presence was throughout History, He has chosen to institute authority among His people so that His government can increase rather than decrease through His people. We see throughout Scripture that those in leadership have played a pivotal role in either taking God’s people on into His intended plans and purposes for His people or keeping them out of God’s designs for His people. Can we overstate the importance of leaders? I don’t think so. The fact is that God wants order in His household (The Church), and the order is there for ONE major reason – to bring people into a deeper knowledge and experience of the Living Presence of God. When leaders live with love, faith and power is contagious and affects all around them.

We want to see a multitude of leaders being raised up in Oxygen Life Church, living sacrificially for the glory of God in all they do, overflowing with love and compassion, wisdom and power, being found doing the Father’s work at all times.

We have 7 full time elders (pastors) at present, who each work alongside a few communities (smaller gatherings of believers) overseeing people's lives and spurring them on to know the Love of God in Jesus more.

We also have about 40 leaders, some who are deacons and others community leaders, working in team with the eldership into and alongside the lives of those in their respective communities.

All of us are called to leadership, starting with ourselves! Then Jesus commands us to “make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”  So, all are called to make a disciple of at least someone else. So, if you would like to develop your leadership gift no matter how small or big, keep an eye on any announcement to do with leadership training and work together with us in discipling the nations right here, right now!
